New Volunteers

Placement interviews for NEW volunteers for SUMMER C semester can be scheduled beginning Monday, May 7th. Please be sure to look at the scheduled interview dates and service areas before scheduling a placement interview.

Please review the Application Process and complete all the steps. Bring all the necessary paperwork to your scheduled placement interview.

Several volunteers are scheduled for the same placement interview. Casual attire is appropriate.

Thank you for considering Shands at UF as a place to volunteer. The following information will help you get started:

Steps to completing the volunteer process are outlined on the application and in the Application Process link.
Please review the Service Areas to determine where you would like to volunteer.
Interviews for college-age volunteers are scheduled at the beginning of each semester (January, May, August).
Interviews for adult volunteers are available year round on an individual basis.
Volunteers are not accepted for court-ordered OR community service hours that need to be completed.
