Shands Healthcare Nursing Continuing Education
The continuing nursing education courses are designed by Shands HealthCare nursing experts are available to nurses throughout the South East and across the country. The Shands HealthCare Center of Nursing Innovation administers the Nursing Continuing Education Program. Shands Healthcare is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Georgia Nurses Association (GNA), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). Because GNA is ANCC accredited, its approval is recognized by all other state nurses associations and most state boards of nursing. Nurses licensed in other states are advised to check on that state’s specific requirements regarding reciprocity. The Florida Board of Nursing Continuing Nursing Education provider number of Shands at the University of Florida is used to identify the courses.
